Otunnu must follow protocol to invite Kabaka

By Ssisagirwako

I think the doctor is going about the invitation the wrong way.  Protocol would demand that he first seeks an audience with the Kabaka where he may extend the invitation rather than announcing this at his political rallies; that is if he is serious. As it is, he should not expect a response of any kind.  The good doctor is a professional diplomat and should therefore know better!!!!!

Incidentally, the doctor is a leader of a national political party and holds no other office either in the north or the rest of the country.  Neither is he a traditional leader in the North.  How and where then does the doctor plan to receive the Kabaka?  Is the Kabaka to attend UPC rallies with doctor in the North or is he being invited to his residence or the UPC party offices in the area?

Come-on doctor, you very well know your invitation can not stand unless it is only intended for politicking alone.  However if it is well intentioned, you should perhaps request the Acholi paramount chief/king to invite the Kabaka.
