Story of NRA rape in the north is heartbreaking

By Charles Bongomin

National Resistance Army (NRA) and now Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) must he held accountable for the crimes and atrocities committed in Northern Uganda.

There is incriminating evidence that clearly indicates the level of human rights abuses on the people of the north by the army and yet unfortunately, all the perpetrators have either been promoted to highest levels of military ranks or shielded by the state.

It’s heartbreaking & painful to read the above articles, and nothing is done about it.  In addition, for the ex-NRA to be on the defensive about their roles and the punishment given to the accused is saddening because it’s clearly documented that most of the accused and/or perpetrators were and/or are always transferred to new locations of operations and then they inform the local population that they have been arrested or that legal redress is taking course. What a sad ploy!!
