Mr. Semuwemba, Museveni’s war was not justified

Mr. Abbey K. Semuwemba, I disagree with your claim that Museveni’s war in Luwero was justified. That war was not justified. It was just a war of hate. As you have said, Baganda hated Obote. So it was a war of hate not rigging which has cost Uganda dearly.

I think you reason like a villager who went to school to learn reading and writing only. First, Museveni did not go to court to prove his claim. Second, he did not win the 1980 election. At least then DP President Paul Semmogerere did but did not go to the bush.

Don’t forget that the international community declared the election free and fair. Thirdly, Museveni chose to go to the bush instead of court. Today Museveni (NRA/A) are the “Grand Master” in rigging. Don’t forget, former UPC President Obote did not go to the bush. The war he contributed to was the 1979 war against dictator Amin.

Today, Museveni is rigging elections year in year out. They also kill Ugandans for them to stay in power. At least FDC President Kizza Besigye went to court twice to prove his claim. Should he or any Ugandans choose to wage war come 2011 election, are you going to say their war is not justified?

All the killing in Luwero should squarely be on Museveni and his NRM/A because he refused to use legal means to solve his claim. Yet today, they are afraid of people who may want to wage war. They NRM/A want Ugandans to go to court where they (NRM/A) use their dirty hands to stifle the result.

I am sorry to say that the Baganda who supported the Luwero war the most just because of hating Obote are now paying the price. In Sept. 09 many Baganda were killed, some arrested and put in jail up to today.

Obote was blamed by selfish politicians like Museveni just for their own gain. They generalised killings in Uganda during Obote’s regime yet none called for investigations. A law is coming targeting the Kabaka of Buganda, is that good for Uganda and Ugandans?

Today UPC President Otunnu is calling for an investigation into all killings in Uganda so as to prevent selfish politicians from using those baseless claims. The UPC President is a real leader because he called Museveni to sit in round table with him and other opposition leaders to iron out the decades problems of the country. A true leader cares about the country, not his/her stomach.  END.  If it’s Monday, it’s Uganda Correspondent.  Never miss out again!
