Fire and suffering in the Northern IDP camps

President Yoweri Museveni has for the first time urged the people of the war torn Acholi sub-region in Northern Uganda to forget the 20 year suffering they endured because of the Lord’s Resistance Army [LRA] rebel insurgency because the government is doing everything in its powers to conclusively heal their wounds.

A British human rights campaigner and a Director of the Peter Tatchell Foundation (PTF), has dedicated his Honorary Doctorate of Laws award to human rights campaigners in Uganda.  Mr. Tatchell was awarded the honorary Doctorate of Laws by London South Bank University on November 16^th at a colourful ceremony held at Southwark Cathedral.

A team of Ugandan opposition political activist living in the United Kingdom [UK] have taken their campaign against President Museveni’s National Resistance Movement [NRM] government to the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London.
